Complaints and Appeals Procedure

ISTIBSHAR: Journal of Islamic Education and Learning maintains an equitable, transparent mechanism for managing complaints and appeals regarding editorial decisions or publication ethics, conforming to COPE principles.

1. Editorial Appeals Procedure:

  • Authors may appeal a manuscript rejection if they provide compelling evidence that the decision was based on demonstrable factual errors or fundamental misinterpretations by reviewers.
  • Formal appeal letters must be submitted to the editorial email (redaksi@an-nur.ac.id) within 14 calendar days of decision notification, containing point-by-point scientific refutations.
  • The Editor-in-Chief reviews the appeal and may solicit an independent evaluation from a senior adjudicating reviewer. The subsequent decision is final.

2. Ethical & Administrative Complaints:

  • Complaints regarding alleged misconduct, undisclosed reviewer conflicts, or procedural delays should be addressed directly to the Editor-in-Chief.
  • All submissions receive confidential, objective deliberation within 7–14 working days following established COPE investigation flowcharts.
