Abstract

The importance of moral issues for students at MA Al Ikhlas Pemetung Basuki is part of the teacher's responsibility, where a teacher is required to be more serious, optimal and professional in developing students' morals at school, and it is hoped that students will be able to understand, appreciate and practice the values Islamic teachings in everyday life. Based on the assumptions above, the author is interested in conducting research with the title "The Role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Teachers in Fostering the Morals of Students at MA Al Ikhlas Pemetung Basuki". Next, the problem formulation for this research is: What is the role of Islamic Education Teachers in developing the morals of students at MA Al Ikhlas Pemetung Basuki? What are the morals of the students at Ikhlas Scholar Lahat IT Vocational School? And what are the supporting and supporting factors for the role of Islamic Education Teachers in developing the morals of students at MA Al Ikhlas Pemetung Basuki. This research is a qualitative research. In qualitative research, the data collected is not numbers, but in the form of words or images. Data collection was carried out using observation, interviews and documentation methods. Data analysis was carried out using triangulation, namely, data reduction, data presentation and verification. Based on the results of data analysis in the discussion of the previous chapter, it can be concluded that there are four roles played by Islamic PAI teachers in developing morals in students, namely: Teacher as teacher, educator, guide and trainer.
