Plagiarism Policy

ISTIBSHAR: Journal of Islamic Education and Learning is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and responsible research practices by ensuring that all submitted manuscripts represent original works of the authors. All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo an initial screening process using appropriate plagiarism detection software before entering the peer review process.

The journal evaluates manuscript originality by assessing similarity reports while considering properly cited quotations, references, commonly used academic expressions, and other legitimate similarities. As a general guideline, manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 20% may require further evaluation by the editorial team. The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection is not determined solely by the similarity percentage but is based on the editorial assessment of the nature, context, and severity of any detected similarities.

Manuscripts containing plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, or other forms of research misconduct will not be considered for publication and will be handled in accordance with the ethical standards and procedures recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal reserves the right to conduct investigations, request clarification from authors, reject manuscripts, issue corrections, or retract published articles when ethical violations are confirmed.

By submitting a manuscript to ISTIBSHAR: Journal of Islamic Education and Learning, authors confirm that the submitted work is original, has not been previously published, is not under consideration by another journal, and all sources, contributions, and relevant information have been properly acknowledged. Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the accuracy, originality, and ethical compliance of their research before publication.
