MENINGKATKAN KINERJA GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM MELALUI PELAKSANAAN SUPERVISI KEPALA SEKOLAH
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to improve teacher performance through the implementation of principal supervision at SMK Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung. This study uses a qualitative method of inductive data analysis, directs the research target to an effort to find theory, is more concerned with the process than the results, selects a set of criteria to write down the validity of the data, the research design is tentative and the research results are agreed upon by the research subjects. This research is a field research using data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses qualitative analysis. Field findings in this study are: planning for school principal supervision is carried out in a planned, systematic and sustainable manner. At this stage the principal performs the stages of determining the name of the teacher to be observed, determining the time of observation, compiling an observation grid, determining whether the class observations are known to the teacher or not, this is based on an agreement between the principal and the teacher. At the observation stage, the principal's activities did not interfere with the learning process in the classroom, even the principal at the end of the lesson motivated students to continue studying diligently. At the follow-up stage, the results of supervision are discussed jointly between teachers and the principal who discuss the shortcomings of teachers in teaching with the hope that in the future teachers can improve them. Teachers have good performance in the learning process, this can be seen from the process of preparing lesson plans that are arranged according to the criteria set out in the teacher performance standards, at the implementation stage of learning the teacher is able to master the material well, then the teacher is able to vary teaching methods and use learning media and provide opportunities for students to evaluate the test with questions and answers. In addition, the teacher is able to evaluate the test by asking several questions during the last session of learning
