PENGARUH KREATIFITAS GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA MTS HIDAYATUL MUBTADIIN DESA SIDOHARJO JATI AGUNG LAMPUNG SELATAN

Abstrak

This study aims to describe and analyze the influence of Islamic Education teachers’ creativity on students’ academic achievement at MTs Hidayatul Mubtadiin, Sidoharjo Village, Jati Agung District, South Lampung. The background of this research is based on the assumption that teacher creativity plays a significant role in shaping active, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences. Islamic Education teachers are required not only to master the teaching materials but also to present various learning strategies, relevant media, and methods suited to the students’ characteristics. Thus, this study explores how teacher creativity is implemented in the classroom and how it affects students’ academic performance. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through classroom observation, interviews with Islamic Education teachers, school principals, and students, as well as documentation of students’ academic results. Data analysis consisted of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that teacher creativity was reflected in the use of visual-based media, storytelling techniques, group discussions, educational games, and simple technology to enhance students’ understanding. Creativity also appeared through continuous motivation and personalized approaches to students with diverse learning abilities. The results indicate that the creativity of Islamic Education teachers has a significant impact on students’ learning achievement. Students became more enthusiastic, more capable of understanding the material, and showed improvement in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Teacher creativity also positively influenced students’ discipline, learning interest, and religious attitudes. Overall, this study confirms that Islamic Education teacher creativity is essential for improving the quality of learning and students’ academic performance in madrasah.
