SUPERVISI AKADEMIK KEPALA MADRASAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN MUTU PEMBELAJARAN DI MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH NEGERI 1 LAMPUNG SELATAN

Abstract

Academic supervision carried out by the Head of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 South Lampung is an effort to improve the quality of learning through coaching, as well as guidance to teachers in planning learning, implementing the learning process, and evaluating student learning outcomes in order to achieve the goals that have been set. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, that is, the researcher only describes, analyzes phenomena, events and activities carried out related to academic supervision carried out by the head of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 South Lampung with data collection techniques through: (1) observation (2) in-depth interviews, and (3) documentation study. Based on the results of the research, the findings can be concluded as follows: (1) the academic supervision program for the head of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 South Lampung was compiled based on the results of the analysis of supervision and monitoring of the previous learning process; the principal's academic supervision program is prepared at the beginning of the school year, the strategy for implementing the principal's academic supervision includes: supervising learning tools, supervising with class visit techniques, and observing teacher activities in class, and implementing follow-up on the results of academic supervision in the form of personal coaching and groups.
