PERANAN GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM MEMBINA AKHLAK PESERTA DIDIK KELAS 5 DAN 6 DI SD IT ASY-SYAMIL TUNGKAL JAYA KABUPATEN MUSI BANYUASIN TAHUN PEMBELAJARAN 2022-2023

Abstract

ABSTRACT   : This article discusses the role of Islamic Education teachers in fostering the character of students in grades 5 and 6 at SD IT Asy-Syamil Tungkal Jaya, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The author conducted observations on the teaching and guidance process provided by the Islamic Education teachers in shaping the students' noble character.

The observation results showed that Islamic Education teachers at SD IT Asy-Syamil have an important role in shaping the character of students. They not only teach about Islamic teachings but also guide students in practicing Islamic values in daily life. The teachers also foster students' morals and ethics, such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and social concern.

Islamic Education teachers also introduce the manners of worship such as prayer, fasting, and alms. They also provide real examples of good and proper worship. The teachers also introduce the character of Prophet Muhammad as an example in behavior and socializing with the environment.

In the learning process, Islamic Education teachers use active, creative, and enjoyable learning methods to make students more enthusiastic and passionate about learning. Moreover, the teachers apply Islamic values in every lesson taught, so that students can understand that Islamic values are very relevant and useful in daily life.

Overall, the role of Islamic Education teachers is very important in shaping the character of students. In this case, the Islamic Education teachers at SD IT Asy-Syamil Tungkal Jaya, Musi Banyuasin Regency have carried out their duties and responsibilities well in fostering the character of students in grades 5 and 6. This shows that Islamic education has a vital role in shaping the character and morals of students, and must continue to be strengthened and developed in the future.
