Character education is the core of Islamic education which was originally known as moral education. Along with the spread of Islam, character education has never been neglected because the Islam preached by the Apostle is Islam in its full sense, namely wholeness in faith, good deeds, and good morals. The purpose of character education is to overcome the moral decline that occurs in the current generation. The problem of character is a problem that must be overcome with elements of the nation. Because this is a big problem faced by the Indonesian people in this age of advanced technology. The progress of the times has been accompanied by a decline in the morals of the younger generation who are the hope of the nation. The methodology in this study was qualitative research in the form of field research which was strengthened by literature study. This research was held because moral problems are a problem that must be a common concern. Morals or character can be grown and shaped by education. Character education is one solution to this problem. Character education takes the concept of Abdullah Nashih Ulwan to support the character education strengthening program (PPK). Character education in Islamic concepts can be integrated into learning. This form of integration is carried out in learning at the beginning of learning, the implementation stage, and during evaluation. This is to get maximum results in efforts to improve the character education of students in schools. Apart from that, it can also be applied outside of school or school hours, such as during extracurricular activities that have been programmed by the school. Character or moral education is the solution to the nation's problems in the preparation and formation of Indonesia's golden generation.
