Abstract

Supervision activities of principals at MTs Assyifa Karangsari are carried out in a planned and sustainable manner in order to improve teacher performance in learning. The problem in this study is to examine the implementation of supervision carried out by the principal and teacher performance in learning at MTs Assyifa Karangsari. The purpose of this research is to determine the implementation of principal supervision in improving the performance of teachers at MTs Assyifa Karangsari. This research is a field research using observation, interview and documentation data collection techniques. The data analysis technique uses analysis in improving teacher performance at MTs Assyifa Karangsari. The field findings in this study are: planning for the supervision of the principal is carried out in a planned, systematic and continuous manner. time of observation, compiling observation grids, determining whether class observations are known to the teacher or not, this is based on an agreement between the principal and the teacher. motivation for students to continue to study diligently. At the follow-up stage, the results of the supervision are discussed jointly between the teacher and the principal who discuss the teacher's shortcomings in teaching with the hope that in the future the teacher can improve it. Teachers have good performance in the learning process, this can be seen from the process of preparing lesson plans that are arranged according to the criteria set in the teacher performance standards, at the implementation stage of learning the teacher is able to master the material well, then the teacher is able to harmonize teaching methods and use media learning and providing opportunities for students to evaluate tests with questions and answers. In addition, teachers are able to evaluate tests by asking several questions during the last session of learning.
