Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of teacher professionalism development based on needs analysis in Islamic educational institutions and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing its implementation. This study employs a qualitative approach using the library research method by examining relevant scholarly journal articles, books, previous research findings, and policy documents. The data are analyzed through content analysis by identifying, categorizing, and synthesizing various literature findings related to teacher professionalism development. The findings indicate that teacher professionalism development should be implemented through a systematic process involving competency needs identification, program planning, development implementation, and continuous evaluation. The effectiveness of this process is influenced by school leadership, teacher commitment, organizational culture, resource availability, and the utilization of technology. Meanwhile, limited budgets, inadequate facilities, insufficient digital competencies, and weak coordination remain significant challenges. This study concludes that needs analysis provides an essential foundation for establishing focused, relevant, and sustainable teacher professionalism development programs to improve the quality of Islamic educational institutions. Therefore, Islamic educational institutions should implement systematic, needs-based management of teacher professionalism development to ensure continuous improvement in teacher competence and educational quality.
