Discipline is the primary foundation for character development in Islamic boarding schools. Facing the increasingly complex challenges of today's times, an educational management strategy is needed that can effectively and sustainably instill the values of discipline. One approach that is relevant and in line with Islamic values is the implementation of a reward and punishment system. This study aims to describe the implementation of reward and punishment as an Islamic educational management strategy in fostering students’ discipline at Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadiin, South Lampung. A qualitative method was employed using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings reveal that rewards such as praise, recognition, and special tasks are used to motivate students, while punishments are applied in an educational and proportional manner, including additional tasks or moral coaching. The implementation is integrated with Islamic values, teacher role models, and humane communication. This strategy effectively develops both external and internal student discipline. The study recommends strengthening discipline management based on Islamic values and enhancing the use of technology in student development systems.
