Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed social life, particularly among millennials who are highly engaged with digital media. Technology not only functions as a communication tool but also plays a crucial role in shaping interaction patterns, social identity, values, and individual behavior. This study aims to analyze the role of technology in shaping the social behavior of millennials, identify changes in social interaction patterns, and examine both the positive and negative impacts of technological advancements. The research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, utilizing data sources such as scientific journals, books, and academic publications from the last five years. Data analysis is conducted using content analysis techniques to identify patterns and trends in behavioral changes influenced by technology. The results indicate that digital technology has shifted social interaction toward virtual environments, influenced the construction of social identity through digital media, and shaped lifestyle and consumption behavior among millennials, while also providing opportunities for enhancing creativity and social connectivity. In conclusion, technology plays a dual role in shaping social behavior; therefore, its use must be managed wisely to maximize positive impacts and minimize negative consequences.
