Abstract

Digital economic transformation has become a crucial phenomenon in global economic development, significantly impacting the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). In the era of globalization, MSMEs are required to adapt to technological advancements to remain competitive in an increasingly open market. This study aims to analyze the role of digital economic transformation in enhancing MSME competitiveness, identify the challenges faced, and formulate effective strategies to support MSME digitalization. The research employs a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing data sources from scientific journals, books, and relevant official reports within the last seven years. The results indicate that digital transformation improves operational efficiency, expands market access, and fosters product innovation among MSMEs; however, challenges such as low digital literacy, limited infrastructure, and inadequate access to financing remain significant barriers. Therefore, collaboration among government, business actors, and stakeholders is essential to strengthen an inclusive digital ecosystem. In conclusion, digital economic transformation is a key strategy for sustainably enhancing MSME competitiveness in the era of globalization.
