KEPEMIMPINAN PENDIDIKAN ISLAM: KONSEP, GAYA, DAN IMPLIKASINYA DALAM PENINGKATAN KUALITAS PENDIDIKAN

Islamic educational leadership plays a strategic role in determining the direction and quality of educational institutions in the era of globalization and digital transformation. Effective leadership requires not only managerial competence but also the integration of spiritual and moral values into leadership practices. This study aims to analyze the concept of Islamic educational leadership, identify prevailing leadership styles, and examine their implications for improving educational quality. The research employs a qualitative approach using library research with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) model, analyzing relevant scholarly articles published. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques, including data reduction, categorization, and synthesis. The findings reveal that Islamic educational leadership is grounded in the principles of trustworthiness (amanah), justice, consultation (shura), and exemplary conduct, while incorporating transformational, democratic, and situational leadership styles. These leadership practices positively influence teacher performance, organizational culture, and students’ character development. In conclusion, effective Islamic educational leadership enhances educational quality holistically through the integration of spiritual values and modern managerial approaches.
