Abstract

The development of digital technology in the Society 5.0 era demands a transformation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning to become more adaptive, interactive, and relevant to students’ needs. This study aims to analyze the utilization of e-learning platforms in improving the effectiveness of PAI learning, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and evaluate its impact on students’ learning outcomes and the internalization of Islamic values. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design, using data collection techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the use of e-learning platforms significantly improves students’ cognitive learning outcomes and engagement, while also providing a more flexible and interactive learning experience. However, the internalization of Islamic values has not been fully optimized due to limited direct interaction and less adaptive pedagogical strategies. In conclusion, e-learning is effective for PAI learning in the Society 5.0 era, but it requires strengthening in pedagogical and value-based aspects to achieve holistic learning.
