Peningkatan Mutu Pendidikan melalui Penguatan Sumber Daya Manusia di SMP Negeri 1 Wonomulyo

This study aims to describe efforts to improve educational quality by strengthening human resources (HR) at SMP Negeri 1 Wonomulyo, Wonomulyo District, Polewali Mandar Regency, in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research focuses on strategies for improving teacher competency, the principal's leadership role, and a collaborative work culture, as well as their impact on educational quality. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation. The research informants consisted of the principal, teachers, and educational staff.
The results indicate that improving educational quality at SMP Negeri 1 Wonomulyo is achieved through four main strategies: (1) improving teacher competency and professionalism through training and MGMP activities; (2) strengthening the principal's role as an inspiring and participatory learning leader; (3) establishing a collaborative work culture among school members; and (4) improving the motivation and well-being of teaching staff. These four strategies have been shown to have a positive impact on improving teacher performance, student enthusiasm for learning, and creating a conducive school climate.
This study concludes that strengthening human resources is a key factor in improving educational quality. Continuous efforts to develop competencies, leadership, and work culture can create adaptive, productive, and quality-oriented schools. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for other schools in designing quality improvement programs based on human resource development.
