Abstract
This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) in an effort to improve the quality of learning in the subject of Aqidah Akhlak at SMK Muhammadiyah Plus Tanjung Selor in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research approach used is qualitative with a case study method. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of SBM in this school has been implemented through the active involvement of the principal, teachers, school committee, and community in decision making, resource management, and increasing teacher capacity. The improvement in the quality of Aqidah Akhlak learning can be seen from the improvement in the quality of learning planning, varied methods, and continuous evaluation. Supporting factors for the implementation of SBM include the visionary and collaborative leadership of the principal, and a supportive school culture. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include limited facilities and infrastructure and the lack of ongoing training for teachers.
