Work culture is a set of behavioral patterns that are inherent in every individual in an organization. There are several variables that can affect teacher performance. Some of them are motivational. Motivation is the desire to do something and determine the ability to act to satisfy individual needs (Robbins, 2002). (Suyadi Prawiro Sentono, 1999: 20) Performance is the result of work that can be achieved by a person or group of people in an organization, in accordance with their respective authorities and responsibilities in an effort to achieve the goals of the organization concerned legally, not violating the law and in accordance with morals and ethics. Based on observations so far, there are many weaknesses experienced by SMP Muhammadiyah Tumijajar, Tulang Bawang Barat Regency in terms of teaching and learning activities in class or other activities such as discipline, openness and mutual respect for fellow teachers. So the researchers wanted to conduct a more in-depth study to find out "The Influence of Culture and Work Motivation on Teacher Performance at SMP Muhammadiyah Tumijajar, Tulang Bawang Barat Regency". The formulation of the problem in this study are: 1) How much influence work culture has on teacher work motivation at SMP Muhammadiyah Tumijajar, Tulang Bawang Barat Regency. 2) How much influence does work culture have on teacher performance at SMP Muhammadiyah Tumijajar, Tulang Bawang Barat Regency. 3) How big is it? The effect of work culture and teacher motivation together on teacher performance at Muhammadiyah Tumijajar Junior High School, Tulang Bawang Barat Regency. So that the main objectives of this study are 1) Knowing the magnitude of the influence of work culture on teacher performance at Muhammadiyah Tumijajar Junior High School, Tulang Bawang Barat Regency. 2) Knowing the magnitude of the influence of teacher motivation on teacher performance at SMP Muhammadiyah Tumijajar, Tulang Bawang Barat Regency. 3) Knowing the magnitude of the influence of Work Culture and Teacher Motivation together on teacher performance at SMP Muhammadiyah Tumijajar, Tulang Bawang Barat Regency. To overcome this problem, the researchers carried out research using a survey method by using a questionnaire as an instrument of research data collection and interview methods to find out how culture and work motivation on teacher performance at SMP Muhammadiyah Tumijajar, Tulang Bawang Barat Regency.
