PERAN GURU AKIDAH AKHLAK DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER PESERTA DIDIK DI KELAS X MADRASAH ALIYAH HIDAYATUL MUBTADIIN KECAMATAN JATI AGUNG KABUPATEN LAMPUNG SELATAN TAHUN PELAJARAN 2024/2025
Abstract
This study aims to describe the role of Aqidah Akhlak teachers in shaping the character of students in Class X at Madrasah Aliyah Hidayatul Mubtadiin, Jati Agung District, South Lampung Regency, during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research focuses on the teacher’s role as an educator, motivator, and role model in instilling Islamic values and moral character among students. The study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that Aqidah Akhlak teachers play a significant role in building students’ moral integrity through exemplary behavior, active guidance, and continuous reinforcement of religious values in daily activities. Teachers integrate character education in classroom learning and extracurricular programs, emphasizing discipline, honesty, respect, and social responsibility. The implementation of these strategies has contributed to the formation of students’ noble character, as reflected in their attitudes, behavior, and interpersonal relationships. The study concludes that the effectiveness of Aqidah Akhlak teachers in character building depends on their consistency in teaching by example, creating a religious school atmosphere, and maintaining collaboration with parents and the school community.
