KOMPETENSI PEDAGOGIK DAN PROPESIONALISME GURU PAI DALAM MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK SMP AL AZHAR SYIFA BUDI CIBINONG 2024/2025
Abstract
This study aims to describe the pedagogical competence and professionalism of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in enhancing students’ learning motivation at SMP Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Cibinong in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results showed that PAI teachers demonstrated strong pedagogical competence in managing learning activities, understanding students’ characteristics, and applying various engaging learning strategies. Furthermore, their professionalism was reflected in discipline, responsibility, mastery of subject matter, and the use of educational technology. The combination of these two competencies significantly increased students’ motivation to learn, as indicated by their active participation, diligence in completing assignments, and growing interest in PAI subjects. Therefore, pedagogical competence and teacher professionalism play a crucial role in shaping students’ motivation and fostering a positive learning environment.
