IMPLEMENTASI MANAJEMEN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEGIATAN BELAJAR MENGAJAR DI SMP NEGERI 1 MENGGALA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2023/2024
Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of school principal management in improving teaching and learning activities at SMP Negeri 1 Menggala during the 2023/2024 academic year. The research focuses on the principal’s management functions, including planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of learning activities. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the principal has effectively implemented management functions. In planning, the principal designed programs to improve teaching quality through work meetings, academic supervision, and teacher competency development. In implementation, the principal encouraged the use of innovative teaching methods and digital learning media. In supervision, regular evaluations were conducted regarding teaching activities, teacher discipline, and performance. In evaluation, the principal followed up on supervision results through coaching and reward systems. The optimal implementation of school management has successfully created a conducive learning environment, increased teacher participation, and improved student learning outcomes.
