INOVASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KREATIVITAS DAN KETERAMPILAN SOSIAL SISWA
Abstract
In practice, Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning is still dominated by conventional methods that focus on cognitive aspects such as memorization of verses, hadiths, and religious concepts. This approach provides limited opportunities for students to develop creativity and social skills, which are highly needed in modern life. This study aims to examine innovative IRE learning models that can enhance students’ creativity and social skills through project-based, problem-based, and collaborative approaches. The research method employed is a library study by analyzing various scientific sources, including books, journals, and previous relevant studies. The data were analyzed descriptively and comparatively by comparing constructivist, social, and humanistic learning theories as well as findings from prior research. The results indicate that innovative learning models such as Project-Based Learning and Problem-Based Learning effectively encourage students to think critically and creatively while producing tangible works relevant to religious values. Meanwhile, collaborative models like Cooperative Learning and Role Playing are effective in improving students’ social skills, including teamwork, communication, empathy, and tolerance. In conclusion, innovative IRE learning models are more effective than conventional methods because they develop students who not only understand religious teachings cognitively but also think creatively, critically, and possess strong social skills. This study recommends that IRE teachers implement participatory learning models, schools provide support through facilities and training, and further empirical research be conducted to test effectiveness in the field.
