Abstract

Human resource management (HRM) is a key factor in improving the quality of Islamic educational institutions, particularly in building sustainable teacher loyalty and retention. The phenomenon of high teacher turnover in various institutions requires a management approach that is not only oriented toward material aspects but also integrates spiritual values in accordance with Islamic principles. This study aims to analyze how the implementation of Islamic HRM contributes to strengthening teacher loyalty and retention in schools, madrasahs, and pesantren. The method employed is a library research approach by reviewing literature, previous studies, and secondary data from relevant official reports. The findings indicate that Islamic HRM practices emphasizing sincerity (ikhlas), trustworthiness (amanah), justice, consultation (syura), and exemplary leadership are proven to enhance teacher loyalty and retention, although challenges remain regarding financial welfare. The study concludes that Islamic HRM is not merely a normative approach but also a practical strategy for fostering long-term commitment, thus requiring the integration of spiritual values with modern management strategies to ensure the sustainability and quality improvement of teachers in Islamic educational institutions.
