Abstract

Educating students to become intelligent people and also building their personalities to have noble morals. Therefore, character education is certainly important for all levels, namely from elementary school to college. In general, character education starts from an early age, if a person's character has been formed from an early age, then when they are adults they will not easily change even though temptations or seductions come so tempting. With character education from an early age, it is hoped that it can produce superior alumni, namely children of the nation who are faithful, pious, have noble morals, have expertise in their fields and have character. Based on the results of observations at cllas II islam integral Lukman Al Hakim Batam , Prabumulih City, there are still many students who are not optimal, therefore it can be seen the character description of cllas II islam integral Lukman Al Hakim Batam students, therefore the researcher is interested in examining how "The Role of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Shaping the Character of Students at cllas II islam integral Lukman Al Hakim Batam. The focus of this study is How is the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in shaping the character of students cllas II islam integral Lukman Al Hakim Batam. This study uses qualitative research that leads to the evaluation process of the research object to obtain the necessary data, so the author uses several data collection methods, namely observation, interview and documentation methods. As for the implementation of character formation of students at cllas II islam integral Lukman Al Hakim Batam, Prabumulih City, Islamic Religious Education teachers are greatly assisted by the SOP made by the school
