PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN GURU PAI DENGAN PENDEKATAN KONTEKSTUAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK

This research aims to determine PAI learning using a contextual approach. The research method uses qualitative research. Learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) with a contextual approach has great potential to improve learning achievement at SMP Bahrul Ulum Kota Bontang Kalimantan Timur . By applying this approach, there are several things that can be emphasized: 1) Increased Student Involvement: 2) Deeper Understanding; 3) Development of Critical Thinking Skills. This can help in developing students' critical thinking skills because they are invited to analyze, evaluate and make decisions based on Islamic religious values; 4) Increasing the Application of Islamic Values in Daily Life. Thus, implementing Islamic Religious Education learning with a contextual approach at Insan Mandiri Elementary School can be an effective strategy in improving student learning achievement, deepening their understanding of Islamic religious concepts, and encouraging the application of Islamic values in their daily lives.
