ETOS KERJA KEPALA SMA ISLAM TERPADU BAITUL MUSLIM LABUHAN RATU TAHUN 2024/2025

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the work ethic of the principal at SMA Islam Terpadu Baitul Muslim Labuhan Ratu in the Academic Year 2024/2025. The principal's work ethic plays a crucial role in shaping school policy direction, education service quality, and the achievement of the school's vision and mission. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The informants included the principal, teachers, staff, and school committee members. The results show that the principal possesses a high work ethic, demonstrated through discipline, responsibility, exemplary conduct, communication skills, and innovation in school management. The principal has successfully established an Islamic work culture that promotes professionalism, active participation of school members, and improvement in both academic achievement and student character. Furthermore, the principal is able to overcome challenges such as limited facilities and parental involvement through adaptive and participatory leadership strategies. Thus, the principal’s work ethic significantly contributes to the overall improvement of educational quality. This study recommends the importance of Islamic work ethic-based leadership training for other principals to create effective and character-based educational management.
