Abstract

Many factors affect student learning achievement, one of which is the factor from within the family. Education in the family is the first and most important education. A healthy extended family is for education in a small scale, but it is very important for education in a large scale, namely education of the nation, state and world. then the author is interested in conducting a study entitled "The Influence of Parental Education Level on Student Learning Motivation at PP Miftahul Jannah, Purnama Village, West Dumai District. The Problem Identification is 1) Low student learning motivation. 2.) Parents pay less attention to children's learning. 3.) Parents are busy with work. 4.) The level of parental education tends to be low. To collect data relevant to this study, the questionnaire method, documentation method, observation method, and interview method were used. After the data has been collected properly, the next step is to process or analyze the data to prove or test the hypothesis that has been formulated, while the analysis method used in this study is Percentage, Chi Squared analysis method. The results of the study on this matter there is an influence between the level of parental education and the learning motivation of students at PP Miftahul Jannah, Purnama Village, West Dumai District because the interpretation value is very strong, namely 22,084
