This study aims to analyze the role of emotional intelligence (EQ) in the development of school leadership at SPM Ula I’daad Shigor Daarul Qur’an Tangerang in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and staff at the school. The results show that the emotional intelligence of the principal plays a vital role in creating a harmonious school environment, enhancing teacher motivation, and motivating students to achieve better academic performance. The principal, with the ability to recognize, understand, and manage both personal and others' emotions, effectively manages conflicts, reduces stress, and communicates with empathy. The positive impact of emotional intelligence is evident in the increased teaching performance of the teachers and the creation of a conducive learning atmosphere for students. Therefore, the development of the principal's emotional intelligence is a key factor in improving the quality of education at the school.
