Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) in improving the quality of learning at MTs Nahdlatul Wathan Peseng during the 2024/2025 academic year. SBM is an educational management approach emphasizing autonomy, participation, and transparency in educational governance. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and administrative staff. The results indicate that SBM implementation at MTs Nahdlatul Wathan Peseng has been gradually carried out through planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation stages. SBM allows schools to innovate and make independent decisions to enhance learning quality. However, challenges such as limited facilities, funding constraints, and insufficient teacher training hinder optimal implementation. The study underscores the need for synergy among school principals, educators, school committees, and the community to realize quality education goals through SBM. The study concludes that SBM can serve as an effective management strategy to improve learning quality when supported by commitment and collaboration among all stakeholders.
