Abstract
Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) play a strategic role in shaping a generation that is both morally upright and knowledgeable. However, the challenges of globalization require pesantren to continually innovate their educational systems. Pondok Pesantren Fajrul Islam responds to these challenges by implementing the Cahaya Pesantren Curriculum, which integrates Islamic values with a holistic approach to enhance the quality of student education. This study aims to analyze the process of implementing the Cahaya Pesantren Curriculum, identify the obstacles encountered, and evaluate its impact on the quality of education at Pondok Pesantren Fajrul Islam. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, in which data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, supported by triangulation techniques to ensure the validity of the findings. The results show that the implementation of the curriculum through the stages of planning, execution, and supervision has had a positive impact on improving educational quality. The students showed increased discipline in worship, better emotional regulation, and deeper academic understanding. However, several challenges emerged during implementation, such as limited human resources, inadequate learning facilities, and difficulties in socializing the concept of holistic education to all stakeholders. Therefore, a more comprehensive strategy is needed, including strengthening human resource capacity, improving infrastructure, and fostering closer collaboration between the pesantren and parents to support the sustainability and effectiveness of the Cahaya Pesantren Curriculum in enhancing the quality of education at Pondok Pesantren Fajrul Islam.
