Abstract
This study aims to describe the quality management development at Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah (MI) Al Fursan in Rumbai District, Pekanbaru City. The background of this research stems from the importance of improving the quality of education through an effective and sustainable management system in Islamic elementary schools. A qualitative method was used, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings show that the quality management development at MI Al Fursan covers three main aspects: improving the competencies of the principal and teachers, curriculum and learning development, and strengthening the internal evaluation and quality assurance system. The school principal plays a strategic role in fostering collaboration and a culture of quality within the school environment. The curriculum is developed participatively with an integrative thematic approach that incorporates Islamic values into all learning activities. Quality evaluations are conducted regularly through meetings and internal monitoring. Despite challenges such as limited facilities and resources, the school demonstrates strong commitment to innovation and continuous improvement. In conclusion, the quality management development at MI Al Fursan is effectively implemented and may serve as a model for quality improvement in Islamic schools through participative management and transformational leadership
