Abstract

This research aims to find out and describe how to implement the think pair share type cooperative learning model at Al Kautsar Middle School Bandar Lampung, the development of creative thinking skills, as well as what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in using the think pair share type cooperative learning model at Al Kautsar Bandar Lampung Middle School. This study used qualitative research methods. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interviews and documentation, while the data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Primary data was obtained directly from respondents based on observations and interviews and secondary data in the form of theories from the literature that are relevant to the discussion. Results of the research found that teachers of Islamic Religious Education and Character Education subjects at Al Kautsar Middle School in Bandar Lampung had implemented the think pair share type cooperative learning model in accordance with the appropriate steps and were carried out well. As for the development of students' creative thinking skills, they have begun to develop well, however there are indicators that have not been achieved well due to the limitations of students in the classroom which are influenced by lack of concentration, lack of understanding of the material and laziness. The supporting factors for this learning model are that it is easy for teachers to plan or implement and makes students enthusiastic about learning and developing creative thinking abilities. Inhibiting factors for this model are students' low concentration, laziness in reading and lack of confidence to express opinions.
