This research aims to investigate the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in developing the morals of students at SMK Negeri 1 Muara Enim. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with PAI teachers, classroom observations, and analysis of documents related to the curriculum and school activities. The research results show that PAI teachers have a significant role in developing students' morals. They not only convey religious material, but also act as role models who provide examples of good behavior and high morals. PAI teachers are actively involved in character building, providing motivational encouragement, as well as providing advice and guidance to students in living their daily lives. Apart from that, PAI teachers also utilize various creative and interactive teaching methods to instill moral values in students. These findings indicate that the role of PAI teachers is not only limited to academic aspects, but also extends to aspects of students' moral and character development. The implication of this research is the need for greater attention to the training and development of PAI teachers as well as the importance of integrating religious values in the school curriculum to strengthen character and moral education in formal education environments.
