PENINGKATAN KOMPETENSI GURU MELALUI SUPERVISI AKADEMIK DALAM IMPLEMENTASI KURIKULUM MERDEKA DI SDIT AL MUHAJIRIN DOTAMANA BATAM CENTER
Abstract
Education is one of the primary foundations of nation-building. Within it, the role of teachers is crucial in shaping a quality generation capable of competing in the era of globalization. Therefore, the improvement of teacher competence becomes a necessity that cannot be ignored. Continuously evolving teacher competencies are the key to enhancing the overall quality of education. In the context of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes school autonomy and freedom in determining teaching methods, the need for academic supervision becomes increasingly important. Academic supervision provides support and guidance to teachers in developing their competencies in accordance with the demands of the curriculum. This research is analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach with the following results, indicating that the improvement of teacher competence through academic supervision in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SDIT Al Muhajirin Dotamana Batam Center is a process that has the potential to provide significant benefits for student learning and teacher professional development. Academic supervision enables supervisors to provide directed oversight and guidance to teachers in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. This helps teachers to deeply understand the principles of the curriculum and apply them more effectively in their teaching.
