GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI PROFESIONAL GURU DI SMPIT FAJAR ILAHI 2 SEI BEDUK KOTA BATAM
Abstract
Overall, the leadership style of the School Principal has a significant impact on the professional competence of teachers. Through effective leadership, a School Principal can create an environment conducive to the growth and development of teachers, which in turn will enhance the quality of education in the school. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach to explore and analyze the efforts made by the School Principal in determining leadership styles to enhance teacher professionalism at SMIT Fajar Ilahi 2 Sei Beduk Kota Batam. Based on empirical data and observations conducted by the author, it was found that the School Principal of SMIT Fajar Ilahi 2 Sei Beduk Kota Batam mobilizes activities to enhance teacher professionalism through various roles including Educator, Manager, Administrator, Supervisor, and Leader. The School Principal consistently provides guidance, motivation to teachers, and facilitates whatever is needed by teachers. The steps taken by the School Principal to mobilize activities to enhance teacher professionalism include involving teachers in various trainings, seminars, workshops, training programs, and organizing subject teacher professional meetings (MGMP) to foster unity, enabling teachers to improve their quality and keep up with current developments.
