Abstract

This research aims to evaluate Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at Madrasah Ibtida'iyyah Nurul Islam 2 Wonokerto. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation of PAI teachers, students, as well as the curriculum and learning materials used. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis techniques. The research results show that there are several weaknesses in the implementation of PAI learning, such as the lack of application of varied learning methods, lack of student involvement in the learning process, and lack of understanding and mastery of the material by some students. Apart from that, the curriculum used does not fully support the achievement of learning objectives. However, there are also several successes in PAI learning, such as the teacher's efforts to motivate students and the existence of extracurricular activities that support religious learning. Based on these findings, it is recommended that improvements be made in learning methods, strengthening the curriculum, and increasing student involvement in learning. Apart from that, there needs to be cooperation between teachers, students, parents and the school to improve the quality of PAI learning at Madrasah Ibtida'iyyah Nurul Islam 2 Wonokerto in order to achieve optimal Islamic religious education goals.
