This research aims to investigate the role of the principal's leadership in improving teacher performance at SMA IT Fajar Divine, Sungai Beduk District, Batam City, in the 2023/2024 academic year. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with school principals, classroom observations, and analysis of related documents. The research sample consisted of principals, teachers and school staff who were involved in the educational process at SMA IT Fajar Divine. The research results show that the principal's leadership has a significant role in improving teacher performance. The principal at SMA IT Fajar Divine shows a strong commitment to teacher professional development through regular training and coaching programs. Apart from that, the principal also demonstrated the ability to build good relationships with teachers, encourage collaboration between teachers, and provide support and recognition for their achievements. In addition, transformational leadership strategies such as clear vision, effective communication, and providing moral encouragement also play an important role in improving teacher performance. These findings provide an important contribution to the understanding of how principal leadership can influence teacher performance in high schools, especially at Fajar Divine IT High School.
