This research aims to investigate the implementation of academic supervision carried out by the principal at Qad Aflaha Islamic School, Palembang City. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews and document analysis. The respondents of this research are school principals, teachers and school staff who are involved in the academic supervision process. The results of the research show that academic supervision carried out by the principal at Qad Aflaha Islamic School has experienced significant developments in recent years. The academic supervision process is carried out on a scheduled and regular basis, with the main focus on improving the quality of learning and teacher performance. Principals play an important role in facilitating teacher learning, providing constructive feedback, and identifying professional development needs. However, this research also identified several challenges in the implementation of academic supervision, including limited resources, resistance from some teachers to change, and gaps between expectations and reality in supervision practice. Therefore, it is recommended that schools continue to increase support and training for school principals and teachers in carrying out effective academic supervision. In addition, the development of school policies that support sustainable academic supervision practices also needs to be considered. This research contributes to the understanding of academic supervision practices in Islamic elementary school environments, especially in Palembang City. The findings and recommendations from this research can be the basis for developing more effective and sustainable supervision practices in other schools in improving the quality of education and teacher performance.
