KEPEMIMPINAN DEMOKRATIS KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI PROFESIONAL GURU DI SMPN 8 MESUJI KECAMATAN MESUJI TIMUR KABUPATEN MESUJI LAMPUNG TAHUN PELAJARAN 2023/2024

Abstract

In this research, researchers used a qualitative approach. Qualitative research is a research approach that uncovers certain social situations by describing reality correctly, formed by words based on data collection techniques and analysis of relevant data obtained from natural situations. This research, in addition to describing in depth the leadership of the school principal, also analyzes the approach used and the factors that influence the structure of the implementation of his leadership. The results of the research show that the implementation of the Democratic Leadership of the school principal at SMPN 8 Mesuji, East Mesuji sub-district, Mesuji Regency is quite good, in this case the principal's leadership in order to increase teacher professional competence is quite dominant. The conclusion of this research is that the principal's leadership in trying to improve the professional competence of teachers at SMPN 8 Mesuji school has a positive influence on the progress of education at the school. It is hoped that the results of this research will become information or input for the school that is the research site, the academic community. , students, teachers, especially in providing motivation to students to always improve their educational achievements.
