Abstract

Emotional Intelligence is one point of view that is able to analyze the leadership of a principal. Principal leadership based on emotional intelligence is considered very good. This has a positive impact on the sustainability of the organizational foundation. Therefore, the researchers tried to analyze the leadership of the Principal of School which focused from the point of view of emotional intelligence. This research is a qualitative research that describes the leadership of the Principal of School and analyzes the point of view of emotional intelligence. This research was conducted using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Testing the validity of the data using the triangulation technique, which in this study is more emphasized on the source of the triangulation technique. The sources are all good school residents, the environment, the people around them including teachers at School. The source will contain data on the leadership of the head of School based on emotional intelligence. The results showed that the head of School was a good leader from the point of view of emotional intelligence. The results of the analysis show that the principal carries out primal leadership very well. It is proven by triangulation of data and sources. The Principal of School has a high commitment to the vision of the future, especially during times of stress or in the midst of increasing responsibilities. The principal has good self-awareness and self-management, good social awareness and good relationship management.
