The background to this research is based on the observation that Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning tends to be normative and linear, without paying attention to the social and cultural context in which students find themselves, and is unable to adapt to rapid developments in the times. The aim of this research is to explore how Continuous Professional Development (PKB) for PAI teachers can improve their professional quality. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach. Data was collected through interviews and observations of PAI teachers involved in the PKB program. The research results show that CPD programs and activities for PAI teachers are implemented through various means, such as education and training that reflects learning, scientific publications involving the preparation of teaching materials or modules, as well as research in the field of education. Apart from that, there are also innovative activities such as making teaching aids and preparing exam question guidelines. It is hoped that the development of this PKB will have a positive impact on increasing the competency of PAI teachers, which in turn will improve the quality of learning and student learning outcomes.
