Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify various ways in which technology can be used to improve teacher performance in the digital era, how the implementation of this technology faces challenges, and how technology can be used in Islamic education management to improve teacher performance in the digital era. This research uses library research. Data collection uses various sources, such as books, journals and contemporary research. An interactive qualitative model was used to analyze the data collected from the literature study; This model consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the use of technology in e-learning and mixed learning in Islamic education can improve teacher performance. Use of Islamic education applications in class management, such as scheduling, task management, learning materials, quizzes and evaluations, and communication. Use of technology for teacher training and professional development includes self-directed learning, webinars and virtual conferences, collaboration and networking, use of learning applications and tools, online certification programs, and creation of digital portfolios. Islamic education faces challenges with the use of technology. These include digital deprivation, focus on religious values, training and professional development, data security and privacy, and quality and content management. The process of implementing technology in Islamic education management includes analysis of technology needs, teacher training and development, formation of a technology-based education team, technology-based learning planning, use of applications and supporting platforms, monitoring and evaluation, continuity and sustainable development.
