IMPLEMENTASI GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN SITUASIONAL DALAM PENINGKATAN MUTU SEKOLAH DI SD IT ALAM BIRUNI SUNGAILIAT KAB. BANGKA TAHUN AJARAN 2023/2024

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of situational leadership style in improving the quality of schools at SD IT Alam Biruni Sungailiat, Bangka District during the academic year 2023/2024. Qualitative research method was employed, with data collection through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the school principal, teachers, and staff, as well as document analysis related to school policies and plans. Findings indicate that the implementation of situational leadership style has positively contributed to the improvement of school quality at SD IT Alam Biruni. The school principal is able to adapt their leadership style to the conditions and needs of the school, allowing flexibility in decision-making and task allocation. Factors influencing the success of implementing situational leadership style include support from the school, effective communication, active involvement and participation of all school members, as well as a deep understanding of the context and challenges faced by the school. The impact of implementing situational leadership style includes increased motivation and engagement of school staff, improved coordination and cooperation among staff, as well as enhanced quality of decision-making and implementation of school programs. Overall, the implementation of situational leadership style has brought positive impacts in enhancing the quality of the school at SD IT Alam Biruni Sungailiat, Bangka District. This study provides a better understanding of the importance of adaptability and flexibility in leadership in the educational context, and offers valuable insights for the development of more effective leadership strategies in improving the quality of education in other schools.
