Abstract

The problem faced by the world of education is the dryness of value education. The learning process that occurs in educational institutions has been dominated by the transfer of knowledge. This study aims to find out how teachers' perceptions of the implementation of madrasah-based management in building the character of students at MI Miftahul Huda Mathla'ul Anwar Way Tenong. This research uses qualitative descriptive research methods. Data collection techniques in the form of observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis includes data collection, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that teachers' perceptions of the implementation of school-based management will affect the learning process of students, namely in positive learning. If the teacher has a positive or good perception of the implementation of school-based management, then he will have the motivation for the implementation of good or positive teaching, thus the learning process will also be good, and vice versa. The principle that teachers instill in the implementation of school-based management values is to apply the principle of "Tut Wuri Handayani" in every behavior shown by students, this principle shows that the educational process is carried out in a learning atmosphere that causes a sense of pleasure. And not indoctrinative. To realize this principle begins with an introduction to the understanding of values developed and the teacher guides students to be diligently responsible.
