Abstract

Character education is carried out with the intention of improving the quality and quality of educational outcomes by forming a good personality in accordance with the competency standards of educational graduates, and the purpose of this study is to determine the role that PAI plays in character education. Character education is carried out with the intention of forming human beings who have noble character. In addition, the goal of character education is to either increase ethical intelligence or improve moral abilities through growing ethical intelligence, which may be defined as the ability to acquire knowledge regarding what is appropriate and what is inappropriate. The research approach makes use of library research by collecting information from writings (literacy) that are linked to the themes that are being explored. The researcher derives the data from the aforementioned material, which comes in the form of books, research journals, and articles providing support. The findings of research on the role of Islamic religious education in the revitalization of character education are limiting and supervising the younger generation by instilling religious values, the strength of faith and piety, knowledge, akhlakul karimah, so that they are able to keep Islamic traditions and values while not falling behind in the flow of globalization. the one that's good.
