PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER MELALUI PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DI ERA REVOLUSI DIGITAL

Abstract

Humans must improve morally and intellectually when more complex technology is developed. Generations that are intelligent and honorable are shaped by education. Islamic religious education is the cornerstone of serving as a source of truth, a measure of strength that can lead to the desired outcomes, and a necessary for the Indonesian people's need for character development. This study looks at Islamic religious education's role in character development in the age of the digital revolution. This study employs a qualitative methodology and a form of library research. Books, research journals, and seminar proceedings were the primary sources of written literature that researchers evaluated. Based on this assessment of the literature, it is believed that character development through Islamic religious education is anchored in national educational objectives, Pancasila, religious principles, and culture. Building student character through instruction, modeling, habituation, coercion, and punishment is a goal of Islamic religious education.
