PERAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM KELUARGA DAN MASYARAKAT

Abstract

A significant contributor to the development of an individual's personality is their upbringing within the context of their family. In most cases, education within the family is accomplished through imparting moral and ethical standards, such as manners, ways, and conduct that are required to be carried out in day-to-day living. This can also include religious principles. The purpose of this article is to identify and examine the role that Islamic religious education plays in the context of the family and society. A literature review that takes a descriptive and exploratory approach is what this kind of writing is all about. It is possible to draw the following conclusions regarding the function of Islamic religious education: (1) a foundation in the family to shape children's behavior and morals and know the boundaries of good and bad; (2) functions to form people who believe in Allah SWT and have piety toward Him; and (3) the main foundation and play a role in moral education for the development of Indonesian society as a whole.
