STUDI PENERAPAN STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES DALAM MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DI MTS GUPPI O3 BELANGA DESA BAKTIRASA KECAMATAN SRAGI KABUPATEN LAMPUNG SELATAN

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of learning strategies based on Multiple Intelligences (MI) in the subject of Islamic Religious Education at MTS GUPPI O3 Belanga, Baktirasa Village, Sragi District, South Lampung Regency. Multiple Intelligences is a theory developed by Howard Gardner which states that every individual has a variety of different intelligences. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive research method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were teachers of Islamic Religious Education and class VII students at MTS GUPPI O3 Belanga. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative analysis which included data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of learning strategies based on Multiple Intelligences at MTS GUPPI O3 Belanga had been carried out well. Islamic Religious Education teachers use a variety of activities and learning materials according to the intelligence possessed by students. For example, for students who have verbal-linguistic intelligence, the teacher uses discussion and writing reflection activities. For students who have kinesthetic intelligence, the teacher uses role play and gestures in learning.
