Abstract

This research is a study to determine the implementation of the head's academic supervision madrasah Mts Al-ishlah sukadamai Natar sub-district in improving teacher performance in aspects planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. The research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques, namely interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the supervision of the madrasah head which includes planning/preparation, implementation, determination of evaluation procedures, and follow-up is in the good category, teacher performance which includes the preparation of learning tools, evaluation the results of the learning process, and the follow-up of learning outcomes are categorized as good, but the teacher's performance in implementing learning, namely in the use of methods and media is still not effective. Follow-up is carried out by holding workshops and subject teacher deliberations (MGMP). Supervision is very useful for seeking and find the factors that cause the lack of success of students in participating in educational programs, so that solutions can be found or ways to improve them.
