Abstract

As it is known in the teachings of Islam that parents have obligations and responsibilities towards their children, to provide Islamic study guidance, so that in the future they understand the values ​​of Islamic religious teachings and in the end are able to worship and carry out Islamic teachings properly and correctly according to the teachings of Islam. provisions of Islamic law.

With regard to the above, at MTs Muhammadiyah 2 Pubian, Pubian District, that the parents of students have not been maximal in providing Arabic tutoring to their children, so that the learning achievements that have been achieved by students of MTs Muhammadiyah 2 Pubian, Pubian District are still low, the majority the value is below 60. So the authors conducted research by formulating the problem as follows: "Does tutoring given by parents influence the increase in Arabic learning achievement for students at MTs Muhammadiyah 2 Pubian, Pubian District?".

From the formulation of the problem, the authors propose a hypothesis: "tutoring given by parents influences the increase in learning achievement in Arabic subjects for students at MTs Muhammadiyah 2 Pubian, Pubian District".

The purpose of the research that the authors conducted was to determine whether or not the provision of tutoring by parents had an effect on increasing their children's learning achievement in Arabic subjects.

The research that the writer did is Field Research, that in the process of collecting data using the questionnaire method as the main method which is complemented by observation, interview, and documentation methods. To analyze the data using inductive analysis method, which is an analytical process method that starts from a specific matter which can then be drawn into a general conclusion.

From the results of this study it can be concluded that the majority of parents have tried to provide tutoring for Arabic subjects to their children in the form of: providing learning facilities, supervising learning activities, supervising the use of children's study time, recognizing children's difficulties in learning and encouraging children to overcome difficulties learning as well as providing motivation and punishment so that children condition themselves to be more active in learning Arabic, it turns out that after tutoring is carried out by parents for their children, it can improve children's learning achievements.
